Andover Young Carers Project provides a range of support for young carers aged 8-18 years living in the Andover area.
We ensure Young Carers have the best possible life chances, following an assessment of individual needs, by providing appropriate respite and support for them. A Young Carer is defined as a child or young person who is undertaking a significant caring role for a family member with a long-term illness or disability, including mental ill-health and drug or alcohol problems. Our support includes counselling, activities, outings, life skills, homework and after school clubs, and signposting to other support services.
"At Andover Young Carers we can talk about what we are going through and they understand. I have lots of fun here."
